Durex Tropical Condom - Review

Bust out a coconut shell bra, a grass skirt and a ukelele-- because it’s time to dish on the testing I did with the Durex Tropical condoms.

These flavored beauties come in three bright and festive island hues and smell quite a bit like fruit candy from my childhood like Runts, Gushers Life Savers or Jolly Ranchers. As a scent-oriented person, I am very sensitive to condom odor-- perhaps even more so than the average person. So, you can imagine my surprise when these mouth watering flavors also pleased my discerning nostrils.

Durex Tropical condoms come in 3 flavors: strawberry, green apple and banana. The wrappers are color coded, but the actual scent/flavor is not listed on the packages. Instead, there is a little graphic image of the represented fruit on the back of the wrapper underneath the “Made in Malaysia” statement. Banana comes in a gold wrapper, strawberry is in a red wrapper and green apple is in a green wrapper.

These fruity beauties feature a substantial size, both in width and length. At 8.12” long and 2.12” wide, these above-average sized condoms will accommodate a larger guy or a larger toy. I also think they would be ideal for a DIY dental dam, since these scrumptious condoms are large enough to easily be converted as such.

After taste testing each of the flavors, I found that I strongly prefer the green apple-- which is not shocking considering I like real green apples so much. I suggest using the corresponding fruit flavor of the real fruit your partner likes the best. Just don’t call them Granny Smith when their sucking on your green junk.

I found the amount of slick, water-based lube to be sufficient for oral, but I would definitely use an additional flavored lubricant for vaginal sex for safety..

Ordinarily, I use Trustex Flavored Condoms, but after trying the Durex Tropical condom, I will be switching to these. Bye bye, brand loyalty-- I’m taking a tropical cruise to the warm and sandy shores of Durex country!
