Just don't tie it so tightly that it's uncomfortable or restricting blood flow during slumber.

But, of course, this is meant to be a guideline, not a medical diagnosis. A complete physical and/or examination by a medical professional may be the best or only means of determining any hidden underlying factors contributing to ED.
