Our staff of Safer Sexologists put the LifeStyles THYN Sensitive Condom to the test! Here is where the LifeStyles THYN Sensitive Condom ranks!
I reviewed the Lifestyles THYN Ultraglide a couple weeks ago. Now it's time to give the less lubey version a spin.
I loved the THYN Ultraglide. Not only was it a great, extra-sensitive condom, but it came with my most favorite thing in the world - more lube.
The regular THYN has the exact same measurements as the THYN Ultraglide at 8" long and 1.87" in width. Penises that are long and thin are going to have a lot of luck with this condom. Girthier guys may want to move on to something else, like the Trojan Magnum Ecstasy, which has the same sort of flared head as the THYN.
But the real star of this condom is how thin it is. I mean, it's right there in the name, isn't it? This is one of those, "Oh God, it's so thin, it's totally going to break, isn't it?" But it's not. Because it's tested and held to the same standards as every other condom by the FDA.
Just remember: there's two ways to make sure your condom isn't going to break. The first is to make sure you're wearing the right size. Check out our measuring guide to see if this is a good choice for you.
The second and verifiably number one reason why condoms break: lack of lubrication. Unlike the Ultraglide, the regular THYNs don't come with additional lubrication, so that's something you're going to need to add for yourself. Trust me. Don't skimp on it. Some Pjur Original BodyGlide will do the trick lickity-split.
As an added bonus, for those who normally get mega-turned off by a sharp latex smell or taste, this condom is virtually tasteless. I even double-checked the label to make sure it wasn't a latex-free condom because I was so astonished by the lack of scent/taste.
Perhaps the lack of extra lube discolored the THYNs more for me than the Ultraglide. But the fact is, I like lube. I like lots and lots of lube and I wish that every condom came with more. In it's own right, this is a fantastic condom. But I'm always going to pick the Ultraglide first if that's a choice.
Still, if you're torn about which one to try, check out the Lifestyles Sampler Pack. It has both!

Somewhat tight but feel good, don't often break and have good lube. Better than the Skyns.
