Condoms Put Back In Vending Machines
A university administrator said he will ask the vending company servicing the dormitory vending machines at University of New Hampshire to bring back condoms, according to Foster?s Daily Democrat in Dover, N.H.
Until two or three years ago, the prophylactics were available alongside snacks in the machines.
The student government this week asked that condoms be sold in the vending machines in residence halls and on-campus apartments.
Free condoms already are available at the campus infirmary during office hours. Many resident assistants and managers also hand out condoms, but some students complain they aren't always available when needed.
UNH's student senate passed a resolution this week encouraging administrators to install the machines. They say quick, easy, round-the-clock access to condoms will make students even safer.
